Naledi Copenhagen is a new Danish design brand, offering exclusive bags and accessories made of genuine ostrich leather. Since its launch in summer 2010, the brand has enjoyed considerable success in well known fashion and design stores in Denmark. Naledi Copenhagen has achieved unique unrivalled positioning due to its ability to offer luxurious ostrich leather products at reasonable prices.
With its commitment to job creation at the grass roots of the fashion industry, Naledi Copenhagen has built a solid reputation of a brand driven by the principles of sustainability and ethics. The products are designed in Denmark and handmade by local craftsmen in South Africa. A true symbol of sustainable luxury, ostrich leather comes from 100% farmed ostriches and is a by-product of the meat industry, which provides fair employment to thousands of previously disadvantaged South Africans.
Naledi Copenhagen's designs are inspired by sophisticated women, who not only want unique luxury accessories, but also care about their impact on the world around us.
"Naledi" is an African female name. The word comes from Sotho language and means "a star".
